Adelia María town is located in the southern and occidental hemisphere, in the Republic of Argentina, in the south of Córdoba province and in the southeast of Río Cuarto department, at 64º west and at 33º 38’ south. This town had 6,379 inhabitants according to 2001 National Census, although the current population is estimated to be 7,256 inhabitants. Adelia
María is in the Pampa plain, which has large amount of agriculture
and livestock; situated 264m above sea level. Due to its geographic position,
Adelia María has a temperate subhumid climate with a dry season.
The annual average rainfall is 839 mm., and spring and summer are the
rainiest seasons. The average temperatures are between 7º C and 10º
C in winter and in summer, 22º C and 25ºC. |
