586  kilometers  from Buenos Aires City and 264 kilometers above sea level, in the south of Córdoba province, on the Laboulaye-Sampacho railway, Adelia María was built in the old Ambrosio Olmos’ Santa Catalina Ranch.

Adelia Marķa, a real positive young town, was born by the initiative of the Buenos Aires Railway, administrated by Franklin and Herrera Company, in 1928. Our town does not have neither a  foundation document nor a historic person to remember but it should be proud of having developed as a  consequence of progress.

The Railway Company, interested in these agricultural colonies, decided to build a new railway, that is why, Mrs. Adelia Marķa Harilaos de Olmos donated the lands. The title deed  was inscribed  in Córdoba on 12th July, 1928.

By Government decision, the company had to divide the land into plots for the town development which should include  a park, a school and a police station.

Most  immigrants established  to  the south of the Railway Station, and  many others, to the north.
