Due to the town’s evolution and growth, it was indispensable for the first inhabitants to have a school where their children could learn. On 25th February, 1933 Gral. San Martin School was created, located in Sarmiento Street.
There were so many students during those days, some continued their high school studies in another town but others could not go for economic reasons; that is why Instituto Adelia María was created in 1954 so that the latter could study there. Today it is situated in 1050 San Martín Avenue and the orientation is “Economy and Management ” and it specializes in “Management”.
Due to the demographic expansion of our town, the same year, Bernardino Rivadavia School was opened, because the children from the North Neighbourhood had to travel a big distance to attend the school in the center. Nowadays it is located in José Hernandez Street opposite Libertad Square.

At that moment Adelia María did not have any kindergarten but on 7th April, 1969, Gra.l San Marín kindergarten was created depending on San Martín School but as a private center.

In 1975 “Agr. Liliam Priotto” Agrothecnic School Nª 292 (this name was adopted in 2005) was opened, with an orientation in “Goods and Services Production”, where the students could select the specialization.

In 1987 the Handicapped School was created to attend children and teens with different capacities and needs.
The group of children, teenagers or adults that could not finish their studies for different reasons, can continue studying at:
CENMA Nª 298, created in 1990, where they can finish their secondary studies so that they can go on studying or improving their labor conditions.
CENPA Nª 12, created in 1999, where it is possible to finish primary education. Both schools are located in Adelia María de Olmos School.

Our town, Adelia María, with its expansion that modifies the needs and demands in the education offer allows the creation of a new school: Adelia María de Olmos School, on 27th February, 2004, with its Adelia María de Olmos Kindergarten, both located in Mansilla Street and Hipólito Yrigoyen Street.
