When the first inhabitants realized that they need medical assistance in Adelia María, they organized a Hospital Committee to create one. This Group and its partners bought a plot of 1,000 square meters in Bartolomé Mitre Street and Las Heras Street. On February 1st ,1951, the Local Hospital was opened and the first Director was Dr. Fernando Silvano.
At the moment the hospital is directed by Dr. Carlos Ferrero and due to the towns evolution it has been changing lately and it offers different programs to help the community:

· Project “Health for everybody 2004”
· Educational Meetings
· Prevention and Detection of Pathologies Campaigns

Among the wide range of services that the hospital offers, surgeries, laboratory, radiology, nutrition, dentist, medicines, ambulances and training can be mentioned.
The main objectives of this institution are the prevention of illnesses and the promotion of health through education so as to take care of everybody’s health.
