Chess
as a sport favours the development of memory, the concentration, the analysis
and the search of strategies, it was a very ambitious project that shares
Adelia María Town Hall, Córdoba Government and the Córdoba
Chess Federation. Its objective is that all the children and youths among
6 and 16 years of age from our province, can learn how to play chess freely.
The Government supplied the boards and prizes, the Town Hall, the building and the furniture.
The Federation was in charge of the instructors that were required for the competitions. The instructor was Mr. Leo Roberto Devcich.
This project was developed during a year and a half with very good results. It had never had such a large quantity and quality of players that practised this sport at that time.
The team participated in towns such as San Basilio and Río Cuarto.
Nowadays classes are not dictated.
